Wellness Wonders: Cultivating Wholeness in Our School Community!

Greetings Families!

We invite you to join us at our annual "Wellness Wonders" community event on August 1, 2023 from 3pm to 5pm at the Library Center, where we will be teaching about the overall wellness of our students and their families. We believe that the well-being of our children extends beyond the classroom, and that a healthy body, mind, and spirit contribute to academic success and personal growth (Hargreaves & Shirley, 2021; Woloshyn et al., 2019).

This year, we have an array of exciting booths, presentations, and activities, all dedicated to supporting various aspects of wellness.

SCHOOL DEPARTMENTS

1. The Guidance Department will offer valuable information about mental health support, stress management techniques, and resources for counseling services.

At-Home Activities to Support Well-being

1. Family Fitness Challenges: Set up a monthly challenge such as a set number of steps to walk, bike rides to take, or a dance-off to keep everyone moving.

2. Mindfulness Moments: Dedicate a few minutes each day for quiet reflection or meditation.

3. Healthy Recipe Swap: Each week, have a family member choose a healthy recipe to prepare and enjoy together.
